I DON'T WANT TO GET 'TOO MANLY LOOKING'

As a personal trainer, this is something I hear A LOT. You certainly aren't wrong for feeling this way. Think about it this way...If it were really THAT easy to gain muscle mass and get "huge", there would be a lot more buff guys walking around. The reason ALL of my clients lift weights comes down to simple math. Lifting heavy shit up and down, burns a lot more calories than bouncing up and down on the elliptical while you text your heart out. In order to build large amounts of muscle, you need to eat... a lot. You will be in a slight caloric deficit while on my program, meaning unless you're on tremendous amounts of steroids, you won't be getting "huge".

Absolutely. I want you to Crush at your own pace. Even outside of a listed "active rest" day, you are still allowed to rest. If you are in pain, please rest! I would, however, do your best to limit this to 3 days per week.
